SUMMARY:Training Webinar 2: Modelling of Virtual Use-Cases
DESCRIPTION:Date: Wednesday\, June 4th\, 2025 \n\nTime: 10:00 – 11:30 (CEST) \nAbout this webinar:\nIn this 2nd training webinar of the RESTORE project\, learn how to the virtual tool is used to evaluate the performance of the RESTORE technologies in different scenarios. Six virtual Use-Cases have been defined for the project to demonstrate the capability of the RESTORE concept in scaled-up scenarios under different boundary conditions. In this webinar\, we will show you the modelling of two of these Use-Cases. \nThe first Use-Case deals with the hybrid Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) – biomass plant of Brønderslev. The aim is to simulate the potential of an increased use of solar thermal energy and additional supply of electricity by integrating a thermochemical energy storage into the existing plant. \nThe second Use-Case investigates the Gmunden Cement Factory. The RESTORE technology enables the integration of different waste excess heat sources from cement industry into District Heating and Cooling networks. The simulation will show the benefits of integrating RESTORE into the existing production plant to supply neighboring heat consumers. \nAgenda: \n\n10:00 – 10:10 Welcome and introduction to the project\, Thilo Walser (Solites)\, Francisco C. Nuñez (CENER)\n10:10 – 10:15 Brief overview of the IPSE GO platform and the RESTORE Virtual Tool\, Stefan Bergmann (SimTech)\n10:15 – 10:50 Simulation of RESTORE Technologies in the Brønderslev Plant (Denmark)\, Rafael Pérez Santana (Aalborg CSP)\n10:50 – 11:25 Simulation of RESTORE Technologies in the Gmunden Cement Factory (Austria)\, Rubén Garayoa (CENER)\n11:25 – 11:30 Wrap-up\, Thilo Walser (Solites)\n\nFor an extensive introduction to IPSE GO and the RESTORE Virtual Tool\, please rewatch the recording of the first training webinar. \nJoin the RESTORE training webinar:\nThe RESTORE training webinar is limited to registered members of the RESTORE user community. If you are interested in becoming a member\, please join the LinkedIn Group of the User Community or register via the web form for free. After joining the community\, you will receive an invitation link to the webinar. \nRegistered members will get a 90-days free trial to the platform IPSE GO and the virtual tool. \nThis webinar is organized and hosted by the Steinbeis Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Thermal Energy Systems Solites and Prospex Institute. \nBrønderslev CSP plant © Aalborg CSP \nGmunden cement plant © Rohrdorfer Zement
