About this webinar:
In this 2nd training webinar of the RESTORE project, learn how to the virtual tool is used to evaluate the performance of the RESTORE technologies in different scenarios. Six virtual Use-Cases have been defined for the project to demonstrate the capability of the RESTORE concept in scaled-up scenarios under different boundary conditions. In this webinar, we will show you the modelling of two of these Use-Cases.
The first Use-Case deals with the hybrid Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) – biomass plant of Brønderslev. The aim is to simulate the potential of an increased use of solar thermal energy and additional supply of electricity by integrating a thermochemical energy storage into the existing plant.
The second Use-Case investigates the Gmunden Cement Factory. The RESTORE technology enables the integration of different waste excess heat sources from cement industry into District Heating and Cooling networks. The simulation will show the benefits of integrating RESTORE into the existing production plant to supply neighboring heat consumers.
